Jesus’ disciple asked, “How should we pray?” Jesus considered this request and replied, “Pray like this:

1. Our Father who art in heaven
2. Hallowed be your name
3. Your Kingdom come.
4. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
5. Give us this day our daily bread.
6. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
7. And, do not lead us into temptation, But deliver us from the evil one.
8. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen. Read between the lines” of this prayer and ferret out the unsaid but implied truths behind Jesus’ words:
9. God, who is “our Father” resides in heaven.
10. As creator of the world, He deserves all the honor and reverence we can offer Him.
11. God’s Kingdom has no end. There is no crying or weeping or sadness there.
12. God’s Will is always demonstrated by Great Love the kind of love that is in heaven, agape love full of mercy, grace and, righteousness.
13. We ask Him to supply to us with what we need; each day. Food, shelter, and water are basic needs which we should ask for but we are also told to ask for today’s needs whatever those might be.
14. We ask for forgiveness of those things we did or forgot to do, to the same extent we forgive those who “forgot” to do something or did something to us. If we won’t do it for others, why should He do it for us?
15. Then, we need to ask Him to keep us far, far away from temptation of sinning. And, if we have sinned, we ask to be delivered from the sin we committed when we followed the temptation.
16. God is the creator of all and should be thanked for ALL He is!
    

Wow! When I first dissected this prayer, in this way, I was blown away with how dynamic it must have been for His Disciples and how comforting it should be now! I thought, “This is a pray of total commitment to God, asking him and thanking Him, for totally committing to us!” Did you notice a given clue is given about when and how often we should pray this prayer? It says, daily bread; i.e., daily needs.

Why should He supply something on Monday if it isn’t needed until Friday?

Every day we should tell Our Father, our creator, how much we love and Him, every day we should ask to be forgiven, every day we should ask for our daily substance and for His protection. This is called worship. See Matt. 6:9-14.
